Or, more accurately, the downside to my MacBook Air.
Unfortunately, it has two USB type C ports.
Yep, two.
So naturally I bought an adapter. This one is the one I got, as of this writing about $20. It’s one of those that has a couple dozen similar versions, so I’m sure there are plenty of options, but this is the one I settled on.

This covers all the bases I need; it’s got SD cards, USB type C so I can still charge it, and USB 3.0 ports. Nothing super crazy, but it works for me.
The only issue I’ve had with it is that when I put the computer on my lap, it’ll bend a little more than I’m comfortable with, but I’m just careful about where I put it when it’s installed.
Otherwise it’s been functionally great – I’ll update the review if anything changes, but just know there are options out there. I’ve honestly found myself using it only rarely, for what that’s worth.
Until next time.
