This is my M&P 2.0 – it was a sort of impulse purchase really, I went in to the store expecting to buy a G19, but walked out with this M&P – it was a screaming deal that I couldn’t pass up.
Honestly I’m pretty happy I got it – it’s got nice night sights, a pretty good trigger (especially compared to the 1.0), and it points very naturally for me – something I know many complain about with Glocks.
I’ll write in more detail about the specifics of the firearm later, but for now I want to talk about what the good folks at Valkyrie Combat did to it for me when I sent it to them out in Vegas.
As you can see, I had them adjust the stippling on the grip – the M&P doesn’t really need additional stippling, but rather needs its stippling adjusted. I actually took some sandpaper to the grip right after I got it – carrying it IWB actually gave me a bit of a red spot!
The team at Valkyrie took great care in redoing and adjusting the stippling for me, and gave me an excellent grip texture that’s aggressive enough without giving me a literal rash!
Going forward, I plan to send it back to have some more work done, but I’m not quite there yet. (Update: light/accessory review here)
If you want to learn more about Valkyrie’s work (particularly their Beowulf package for Glocks), give this video a watch!
