Hello, world! I understand that’s the traditional greeting for these sorts of things. Anyway, I’m excited to introduce this concept to the world and hopefully bring some new and engaging content to you, dear reader.
My background is as follows: a bit over a decade in emergency medical services in one capacity or another (first as an EMT, later a paramedic), just over five years’ time spent as a firefighter, and a shorter time yet spent as a technical rescue practitioner.
I also bring a healthy and diverse background from the business world – a Bachelor’s degree as well as time spent in sales, purchasing and management.
Finally, though certainly not least, I am and always have been a massive “gear dork”. Ever searching for the latest and greatest gadget or gizmo – though ever too often unimpressed and downright disappointed – it’s become one of my pastimes to simply work to find the best widget for the job, whatever that job may be, whence came the impetus for this site. I do look forward to this journey together, wherever it may take us.
