This is the Magpul DAKA wallet – my everyday wallet. I’m a bit of a minimalist when it comes to wallets, largely because I like to carry it in my front pocket. This wallet is made of a polymer, I believe something like Hypalon, that’s quite durable and wears very little over time. I’ve had this particular specimen for a couple years now and it has basically no visible wear.
A couple caveats to my notes on this wallet – it’s not great for carrying cash around, nor is it any good at all if you have more than 6-8 cards; you can see in the photo above that I’ve overstuffed it a couple times and it bows outwards in the middle a bit because of my abuse.
That said, if you’re like me and only carry a few cards and almost no cash, this wallet is ideal – it’s only a little thicker than a money clip, and its durability and water-resistance are helpful for somebody like me who carries it all the time.
I’m hoping to get a few more DAKA material bags and such soon, and I’ll put up a review of those when I do – that’s all I have for today though.
’til next time.
